Insurance Services
From first fix to sparkle handover — and fully licensed asbestos surveying, testing, and removal. A single contractor for a safe, clean, compliant property.
Service One
A genuine after builders clean is far more than a quick vacuum and wipe-over. Construction dust is ultra-fine and pervasive — settling deep into every surface, cavity, and fixture. Without specialist HEPA-filtered equipment and the right techniques, it simply gets redistributed rather than removed. We provide all three stages of the clean programme — first fix, second fix, and sparkle handover — as a single managed service.
Carried out after first fix trades are complete. Removes heavy construction debris, dust, and waste to allow second fix trades to work in a clean environment.
A more detailed clean after joinery, kitchens, and bathrooms are fitted — preparing the property for decoration and final finishes.
The final clean carried out immediately before handover. Every surface is polished and the property is presented at its very best.
Fine construction dust penetrates every surface. We use specialist HEPA-filtered equipment to remove dust from walls, ceilings, floors, skirting, and all internal surfaces — leaving the property genuinely clean, not just visually tidy.
All kitchen units, worktops, appliances, sanitaryware, tiles, and grouting are thoroughly cleaned and polished — removing grout haze, adhesive residue, and installation marks.
Paint splashes, plaster residue, and adhesive labels are removed from all glazing, frames, and sills — leaving every window streak-free and ready for handover.
Hard floors are cleaned of adhesive, grout, plaster, and paint residue. Carpets are vacuumed and spot-treated. Protective coatings can be applied to hard floors prior to occupation.
Entrance lobbies, stairwells, car parks, and external hard standings are cleaned to the same standard as internal spaces — ensuring the whole development is ready for handover.
Our final sparkle clean is carried out immediately before handover — a top-to-bottom polish of all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings to present the property at its absolute best.
Service Two
Asbestos was widely used in UK buildings constructed before 2000 — in insulation, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, textured coatings, and many other materials. Disturbing asbestos-containing materials without proper controls releases dangerous fibres that cause serious and fatal lung diseases. Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, duty holders are legally required to manage asbestos in their premises. We provide the full range of asbestos services — from initial survey and testing through to licensed removal and clearance certification.
Management surveys and refurbishment/demolition surveys carried out by qualified surveyors — identifying the location, type, and condition of any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the property.
Bulk samples and air samples are collected and sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis — providing accurate identification of asbestos fibre types and confirming the presence or absence of ACMs.
We produce a full asbestos register and management plan — documenting all ACMs, their condition, and the recommended management actions required to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Licensed removal of high-risk asbestos-containing materials — including sprayed coatings, lagging, and insulating board — carried out by licensed contractors in full compliance with HSE regulations.
Removal of lower-risk ACMs such as asbestos cement, floor tiles, and textured coatings — carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations, with full waste disposal documentation.
Following removal works, independent air testing and a clearance certificate are issued — confirming the area is safe for reoccupation and providing the documentation required by insurers and regulators.
How We Work
A qualified surveyor inspects the property and takes bulk samples from suspected ACMs for laboratory analysis.
Samples are analysed by an accredited laboratory to confirm the presence, type, and concentration of asbestos fibres.
A full written report, asbestos register, and management plan are produced — detailing all findings and recommended actions.
A method statement and risk assessment are produced for all removal works — submitted to the HSE where required for licensed works.
ACMs are removed safely by qualified operatives using appropriate enclosures, PPE, and decontamination procedures.
Air testing confirms the area is clear of fibres and a clearance certificate is issued — providing full compliance documentation.
Any building constructed or refurbished before 2000 may contain asbestos-containing materials. If you are planning renovation, demolition, or any intrusive works, a refurbishment and demolition survey is a legal requirement before work begins. Do not disturb suspected ACMs — contact us for a survey first.
Why Kerdel
